This beautiful and nearly deserted beach, near Meagan’s home in Lusby, holds special meaning. Dan proposed on this beach over Christmas break, while supposedly hunting for shark teeth (back story to follow). Despite being “camera shy,” these two are incredibly kind, and they exude happiness and love – both in person and on camera. I had a wonderful time making these photographs with you guys. I hope you enjoy them!
There’s a bit of a back story to the next few frames…
As folks from Calvert County (or visitors to Calvert Cliffs) will attest, if you look closely, you can often find shark teeth on the Chesapeake Bay beaches. Meagan and Dan have visited this exact beach many times together, but Dan has never found a shark’s tooth. Never found one that is, until our engagement session when, probably distracted by my camera clicking away, Dan found not just one, but TWO teeth! (OK, to be fair the first one was really tiny, so the total might be more like 1.5). His excitement and Meagan’s looks of disbelief were priceless – happy that I was there to document this monumental event 🙂
I think this may be the one and only time that I get to photograph an engagement ring and a shark’s tooth in the same frame, but I’m open to being proven wrong!
