Southern Maryland isn’t typically that cold in mid-November, but mother nature made an exception this year. Meagan and Dan were married on Solomons Island on a frigid but clear fall day. From the first look at Back Creek Inn, to the wedding ceremony at Our Lady Star of the Sea, and the reception at the brand new event hall at Calvert Marine Museum, family and friends shrugged off the cold and had a great time celebrating with one of the kindest couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. Congratulations and best wishes, Meagan and Dan, here are some of my favorites from your wedding!
An emphatic – “let’s do this!”
The entire museum is open for guests to explore during the reception!
The combination of cocktails, mulled cider, and marine life touch tanks is something you just have to experience. I don’t think you can get that anywhere but in Southern Maryland!
The awesome irony of this helpful “shark tooth detective” exhibit makes more sense if you have heard Meagan and Dan’s engagement story (and seen their photos!) – right here.
And the shoes come off!
I can imagine at a cake tasting you might think at some point, “All of these cakes are really good – wouldn’t it be great if we could have all of them rather than choose?” May I present a small selection of cakes, from an incredibly diverse cake table:
A cold and very still evening, but a joyous wedding in the shadow (or rather, light) of Drum Point lighthouse! (Bonus points if you can tell me which way is “up”…)
