I’ve known Megan for longer than I can remember, which seems a bit contradictory, but it’s true. Megan and her family have been good friends for the whole of my life, and I was honored to be asked to photograph her wedding early this November. The day was wonderful – start to finish. We had gloriously overcast skies (yes, that IS a good thing if you’re a photographer), great fall color, and more awesome family and friends than should ever be allowed into one room at a time. OK, so the football games of interest (UVa – Stuart, and VT – Megan) didn’t go as well as planned 🙂 but otherwise it was a really happy day.
If you haven’t yet seen their Charlottesville engagement photos, you can see those right here.
Congratulations Megan and Stuart! Thanks again for inviting me to be a part of your day. Best wishes in the days/months/years ahead. On to the photos…

Time for a “first-look” on the Noland Trail at the Mariner’s Museum…
The ceremony took place at Steven’s Memorial Baptist Church…
Stuart watches the processional from “backstage”…
On to the Mariner’s Museum, which holds special meaning for me – my grandfather used to be a docent here. What a great place for a wedding reception!
Orange is the color their two schools share… very diplomatic! Of course this was followed by competing rounds of the “The Good Old Song” and HOKIES… some things never change.
Many thanks to my second shooter John Cachero for helping out over the course of the day. A few other folks were in on the fun:
Hair – Ariella Parlitsis
Flowers & Cake – Simply Connie
Catering – Jennifer Riley from Creative Catering of Virginia
DJ – Howard Alexander from Colonial DJs
